Flower arrangement with local flowers

Welcome to the fantastic world of flowers. For a couple of hours, we let go of everything that spins around us and create with the absolute most beautiful flowers that the garden and nature have to offer right now. Lisa Winqvist from Sotehus blommor leads a workshop in creating floral arrangements with a focus on shape, color and flow. You will learn basic design principles, which can be a help in creation. But of course, when you know the rules, you are completely free to ignore them. During the workshop, we work on seeing details, shapes and lines. We set our mind to create as freely as possible and enjoy the moment. - Arranging flowers is a bit like meditation for me, but it is a form of meditation that is perfectly suited to be done in a group with lots of talk and lots of laughter, says Lisa Winqvist. You have the luxury of being able to choose from lots of freshly picked, locally grown flowers that Brittas and Lisa have brought from their respective cut flower farms. There will be many different beautiful flowers in lots of colors and shapes. You will receive tips on how to think when you choose your favorites for the event. You will learn to use methods that burden the environment as little as possible. The workshop is at Röstånga mill in Sussie's spacious and bright orangery and we offer sandwiches and coffee/tea.
