Flower arrangements and marker painting
Flower Arranging and Floral Ink Painting Join us for a full-day workshop at Röstånga Mill with floral designer Britta Levin and ink painting artist Malin Björklund. This seasonal workshop is based around the flowers available in Röstånga Mill flower beds and the surrounding area. You will choose the different shapes and colours of flowers to work with, which are pre-prepared in buckets, and you can also complement them with flowers and natural materials. We will then set the flowers to draw water in the Orangery — a converted barn filled with natural light which keeps the wind and rain out. After this we will take a short break with a light lunch. Britta will introduce you to colour, shapes, proportion and practical techniques to achieve naturalistic flower arrangements in your own vessel. We use chicken wire in our vessels — if you like you can bring your own flower fakir, kenzan, etc., but it is not essential as the chicken wire gives just as good results. When arranging, Malin and Britta will give friendly feedback and guidance to your personal creations. When your arrangement is finished, Malin will guide you in painting your new creation using fluid inks, water and brush on aquarelle paper. Refreshments will be served with the afternoon painting session. At the end of the day you will go home with your new flower arrangement, several ink paintings and a wealth of new inspiration. NOTE: The maximum number of participants is 10 people. This workshop is led by Malin and Britta, and because of that the number of participants may appear different on the site

Röstånga mill is an old mill yard just a stone's throw outside Röstånga village. It is possible to walk on a gravel road the roughly kilometer out to the farm. The farm is surrounded by water and beech forest, and here there is plenty of both wild and domesticated animals. There is a natural calm in the place and the feeling of being in another world usually comes when visiting.
