Participants will learn various handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab methods, and how to use them to make objects like cups, bowls, and vases. The course covers fundamental concepts like clay preparation, glazing, and firing to help students create their own unique pieces. The goal of the course is to provide students with a strong foundation in handbuilding and an understanding of the ceramic-making process, inspiring creativity and a lifelong passion for the art form.

As a hobbyist ceramicist based in Stockholm, I bring over 15 years of creative design experience to my work with clay. My passion for this art form was sparked by the curiosity to explore a hands-on hobby that incorporated mindfulness and focus in the design process. My work is inspired by a blend of architectural forms, both man-made and found in nature, and the fusion of organic and geometric shapes. When crafting unique pieces for the home, I prioritize function, durability, and simplicity. Each piece is carefully handcrafted or wheel-thrown with stoneware at my studio in Stockholm.
